Job summary

Bayshore HealthCare in Markham is seeking a Client Scheduling Coordinator to join our team on a part-time basis, in-office from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with potential remote shifts.

You will be the vital link between patients, families, and healthcare providers, handling referrals and coordinating care in the EMR. The ideal candidate has at least two years of customer service experience, preferably in healthcare, strong English communication, and solid computer skills.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years related customer service experience, preferably in healthcare.
  • Experience in healthcare or high-paced customer service environment is preferred.
  • Strong written and oral English communication; French is an asset, especially for Quebec locations.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with patients, families, staff and funder organizations in a professional manner.
  • Process funder referrals and updates in the EMR (Procura).
  • Collaborate with Supervisors, field staff and patients to assess service needs.
  • Schedule care providers based on client needs, geography, and availability.
  • Coordinate caregiver assignments and service delivery to ensure coverage.
  • Notify patients and staff of initial and ongoing schedules.
  • Utilize scheduling tools to optimize staff availability.
  • Document all interactions accurately in the EMR.
  • Resolve patient concerns following escalation paths.
