Job summary

NFP, an Aon company, is seeking a Client Executive to drive commercial lines sales for Ontario and Alberta clients in a hybrid work setting. The role focuses on developing new relationships, submitting to markets, and cross-selling across lines with a client-first approach.

You will quote leads, collaborate with underwriting, and hand off post-sale service to Account Managers while maintaining strong underwriter relationships and industry knowledge.

Qualifications

  • Valid RIBO is required; additional licensing would be considered an asset.
  • Typically, 3+ years of commercial or personal lines sales experience.
  • Knowledge of risks associated with Small-Market business.
  • Technical knowledge of IRCA (Individually Rated Commercial Auto).
  • Proven track record in insurance sales.
  • Self-motivated with a passion for sales and delivering a top-notch client experience.
  • Self-managing with strong analytical, organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong team player with ability to collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven competency in developing and delivering innovative property and casualty solutions.
  • Lead management software or CRM experience (Salesforce) is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Applied EPIC is an asset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

  • Quote commercial leads generated from various sources the same day or next business day.

Job Duration: Full-Time, Permanent

Wage Transparency: The base salary range for this position is $57,500 to $60,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Client Executive to join our award-winning Business Insurance division for our Ontario & Alberta clients. The successful candidate will employ their industry knowledge & experience to initiate and develop new commercial lines relationships for our Small Market Business Team.

What You’ll Do

  • Work in a fast paced environment that will allow you to quote commercial leads generated from various sources on the same day as received or worse case next business day.
  • Develop submissions (in conjunction with commercial lines underwriting staff) to markets that will meet present/emerging needs of the client and close the sale
  • Hand-off responsibility for provision of service to clients to the relevant Account Manager in the service teams
  • When appropriate to the maintenance of good customer service, field customer service requests (especially post-sale of one’s clients), and ensure the completion by oneself, or by referral to the service Account Manager
  • Develop a cross-selling protocol that allows the opportunity for integrated selling with all commercial sales to other lines of business
  • Meeting and/or exceeding individual sales targets as well as department goals
  • Maintaining professional and collaborative relationships with key underwriters
  • Resolving any concerns or complaints with a professional demeanour by using product and service knowledge
  • Quoting new prospects using NFP’s new IRCA quoter as well as ARS or Company Portals if required
  • Representing the brokerage at industry functions when required
  • Keeping current on industry changes, underwriting rules and workflow processes

What You Bring

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong team player with the ability to adapt to and collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven technical competency and creativity demonstrating excellence in developing and delivering innovative property and casualty solutions
  • Prior experience in lead management software or CRM platforms such as Salesforce would be considered an asset
  • Excellent computer skills expected with knowledge of Applied EPIC an asset
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite products – specifically Word, Excel and Outlook
