Job summary

Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) is seeking a Client Associate to work with Investment Advisors at CIBC Wood Gundy to help manage client portfolios, uncover opportunities, and improve the client experience. This on-site, full-time role focuses on delivering proactive service to high-net-worth clients.

You will engage clients, support business development, and build lasting relationships through thoughtful interactions and tailored investment plans, while adhering to CIRO-ID regulations

Qualifications

  • Must be CIRO-ID registered Investment Representative; RR license is an asset.
  • Strong client service orientation and ability to develop new opportunities.
  • Financial services and brokerage experience preferred.

Responsibilities

What you’ll be doing

As a Client Associate, you will work closely with Investment Advisors at CIBC Wood Gundy to help manage their portfolios and develop new business. You will directly engage with high-net-worth clients to offer support, uncover business opportunities, and proactively improve the client experience. At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. To successfully perform the work, you’ll be on-site full-time Monday through Friday.

How you’ll succeed
  • Client Engagement - Focus on each client's experience and connect on a personal level to make every interaction meaningful. Anticipate client needs and communicate promptly with your team to build trust and deepen client relationships. Identify activities, processes, and opportunities to improve the client experience.
  • Business Development – Proactively identify business opportunities for your team. Work closely with Investment Advisors to support business development activities and assist in the building of investment plans based on the client’s profile, goals, and risk/reward tolerance.
  • Relationship Building - Heighten CIBC brand awareness in your community by attending local events and participating in marketing and outreach activities. Grow your network to create lasting connections that will generate future opportunities.
Who you are

You’re a certified professional. You have current accreditation and are in good standing as an Investment Representative (IR) with Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization - Investment Dealer (CIRO-ID). It is an asset if you are Registered Representative (RR) licensed. Financial Services and/or Brokerage industry experience and working knowledge of various quotation equipment is required.
