Dawn Recruiting Agency is hiring an Account Specialist in Toronto to connect Investment Professionals with our client base across North America. You’ll build relationships through daily outbound calls and manage records in our database.

The role emphasizes finance knowledge, CRM use, and strong communication. It offers a hybrid work model with Friday remote options, two to three weeks vacation, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• University degree or college diploma in Commerce, Finance, or Business Administration is required.
• IFC certification is an asset.
• Experience in business development or sales is an asset.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience using CRM tools to manage interactions and data.

Responsabilités

• Complete daily outbound calls to generate leads and build relationships with Investment Professionals (~130/day).
• Update daily call activities and maintain records in the database.
• Develop understanding of equities, mutual funds, ETFs, IPOs, and structured products.
• Collaborate with team to create outreach strategies and support senior staff.

As an Account Specialist, you’ll work alongside our industry-leading client base to connect them with Investment Professionals across North America. You’ll gain firsthand exposure to the asset management industry, develop valuable sales and communication skills, and learn how leading investment firms grow their businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Completing daily outbound phone calls to generate leads and build relationships from a defined target segment of Investment Professionals (~130/day)
• Updating daily call activities and maintaining accurate records in Hybrid’s proprietary database
• Developing and maintaining an understanding of various industries and financial products (Equities, Mutual Funds, ETFs, IPOs, Structured Products)
• Collaborating with your team to develop innovative outreach strategies for your clients
• Assisting with administrative tasks and special projects as needed by senior team members

Requirements

Desired Experience:

• University degree or college diploma in a relevant field is required (Commerce, Finance, or Business Administration)
• Completion of the Investment Funds in Canada (IFC) is an asset
• Previous business development or sales experience is an asset
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products
• This role is ideal for candidates with experience in positions such as: Customer Service Representative, Retail Sales Associate, Bank Teller, Financial Services Representative, Personal Banking Associate, Client Service Representative, Sales / Account Representative.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• French native/bilingual an asset
• Ability to effectively address objections while maintaining a positive dialogue
• Resilience in the face of objections, turning challenges into opportunities to gather further insight
• Ability to adapt and adjust strategies accordingly
• Experience using CRM tools to manage interactions and data
• Strong understanding of the markets, or strong curiosity to learn
• Solid understanding of financial concepts
• Solid organization and time management skills
