Sobeys Inc. — Safeway in Vancouver, BC, is hiring for a part-time role in a fast-paced production-focused environment. No prior experience required, with food production experience considered an asset.

• Understand and follow all safety standards including safety training, handling of chemicals (WHIMIS), good manufacturing practices (GMP’S), and using personal protective equipment (PPE)

• Constant lifting and carrying of less than 10 pounds
• Constant standing
• Constant reaching below shoulder level
• Constant gripping and use of production materials
• Occasional bending and twisting
• Occasional lifting or carrying of up to 40 pounds including waist level and low level lifts
• Ability to handle a cool working environment of 1 to 4 degrees Celsius

The salary range for this positionis $17.85- $21.00. We will consider factors such as your working location, work experience and skills as well as internal equity, and market conditions to ensure that you are paid fairly and competitively.
