Job description

In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health), patient and staff safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone; as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.

Reporting to the Manager or designate, the Clerk, Colon Screening Program (CSP) schedules and books patient appointments according to established CSP booking procedures, BCCA guidelines, and in evaluation of patient information such as patient history, pertinent reports and patient risk factors relevant to the scheduled procedure, provider availability and other departments. Determines appointment priority and schedules patients using appropriate electronic scheduling and computer software applications. Provides data entry and clerical functions related to patient information for the Colon Screening Program.

QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Training And Experience

Grade 12 and two years' recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
