As we are regularly looking for qualified candidates for our Clerk Accounting positions, this is an open call (talent pool) for the Pictou County / New Glasgow region in Nova Scotia. As positions (both permanent and contractual) become available in Stellarton, Nova Scotia, we will reach out to qualified candidates.

Responsibilities
  • Process and audit invoices for various departments nationally
  • Prepare and analyze working papers
  • Prepare and process journal entries and/or other data entry related tasks
  • Process cash receipts and other related Accounts Receivable functions
  • Work in conjunction with both internal and external customers/vendors
  • Ensure all required metrics are consistently met
  • Provide a high standard of customer service
  • Various data entry related tasks
  • Identify areas of opportunity to enhance processes
  • Work in SAP and Microsoft Office
What you have to offer
  • Relevant education in Business/Accounting (i.e. College Diploma or University Degree); equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered
  • Minimum 1-2 years relevant work experience within an office environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Integrity and adherence to standards, policy and procedures
  • Excellent customer service skills coupled with an understanding of the commitment to meet and exceed service levels
  • Strong computer skills; Proficient use of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Proven time management, organization, prioritization, and multi tasking skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Preferred
  • Accounting work experience
  • Experience in a team driven environment
  • Retail experience
  • Knowledge of SAP

*Bilingual (French-English) will be considered an asset
