Designated Work Location: 4 th Floor - 185 King Street, Hybrid with designated work location

Position Type: Permanent, Full-time

Hours of Work: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday

Salary: $1,249.30 - $1,770.23 bi-weekly, as per the Clerk A Classification within the C.U.P.E. Collective Agreement.

Job Profile

Under the supervision of the Administrative Assistant, the Support Clerk is responsible for providing clerical and administrative support in the Municipal Accommodations Division.

As The Support Clerk, You Will
  • Provide clerical and administrative support for the Municipal Accommodations Division.
  • Assist in Booking Conference Rooms for City Staff.
Your Education and Qualifications Include
  • Grade 12 or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience providing clerical and administrative support in an office setting.
  • Experience using a computer and MS Office software (Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Experience preparing various correspondence and documents.
  • Ability to type 40 wpm.
  • Ability to effectively deal with potentially stressful situations.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to deal effectively with the public and City staff in a positive and supportive manner, in person, over the phone or email.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Willing and able to take and successfully complete additional training and instruction.
