Job summary

Commercial Cleaning Services is seeking a Shift Supervisor for a warehouse facility in Brampton. You will lead a team of janitorial staff to deliver exceptional results and ensure client satisfaction.

The role runs Friday to Sunday, 8:30 pm to 7:00 am, with a pay rate of $20.9 CAD per hour. Responsibilities include creating shift schedules, maintaining service quality, and promoting a safe work environment at the site.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of leadership experience in facility services or similar.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning processes, environmentally sustainable products, tools, equipment and machinery.
• Demonstrated people management, planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to problem-solve and meet unforeseen demands.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and using technology tools.
• Police Background Check required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure outstanding client service through regular communication with onsite representatives and timely response to quality issues.
• Prepare shift schedules and assignments to meet contract requirements and ensure efficient service delivery.
• Promote a safe work environment by following safety policies and procedures.
• Assist with training of new employees.
• Order supplies, tools and equipment and manage preventative maintenance program.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleaning standards are met.
• Support cleaning duties as needed.
• Manage communications via radio.
• Other duties as reasonably required.

As a site supervisor, your duties may include…

• Ensure that the client receives exceptional customer service through regular communication with onsite representatives, responding to service quality issues on a timely basis and promoting a service oriented culture
• Prepare shift schedules and work assignments in accordance with contract requirements, ensuring the efficient delivery of services
• Promote a healthy & safe work environment by ensuring that all CCS employees follow safe operating policies and procedures
• Provide support with the training of new employees
• Ordering of supplies, tools & equipment and management of a preventative maintenance program
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleaning standards are met
• Support with cleaning duties
• Manage communication with radio
• Other duties as reasonably required from time to time

What do I need?

• Minimum of two year’s experience working within the facility services industry in a leadership role
• Strong knowledge of best practices in the cleaning industry including cleaning processes, environmentally sustainable products, tools, equipment and machinery

• Experience with Microsoft Office and ability to use technology tools

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 40 pounds
• Stand and/or walk throughout the duration of the shift
• Able to bend, stretch, lift, push, pull and carry, climb stairs
• Operate equipment when required
