Job summary

Compass Group Canada is hiring a cleaner to support cleaning of hard floors, surfaces reachable by ladders, and waste removal across our facilities in Toronto. This position offers an hourly wage and a straightforward, hands-on role requiring attention to safety and cleanliness.

The successful candidate will perform floor care using mops and buffing equipment, transport waste to disposal areas, and adhere to health & safety practices. Prior experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• Clean hard floor surfaces using mops and buffing machines.
• Strip and finish hard floors manually or with power equipment.
• Transport garbage from drop points to bins/compactors and operate the compactor when required.
• Follow health & safety training and wear PPE as required.

Responsibilities

• Dry mop, wet mop and buff hard surface floors.
• Strip and finish floors using appropriate equipment.
• Move and manage garbage from points to bins/compactors.
• Clean washrooms, stairs, and elevator cabs as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
