Job summary

Waste Connections of Canada is hiring for a local route garbage truck position in Canada. You will safely operate a garbage truck on assigned routes, reading route sheets and servicing customers efficiently, while performing pre- and post-route inspections and maintaining safety standards.

The role requires a valid Class 5 licence, a clean driving record, and at least 2 years of local route driving experience, with ability to pass all pre-employment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Safely operating a garbage truck on specified routes to collect solid waste.

• Performing routine pre-route and post-route inspections on vehicles; check fluids, safety equipment, tires.
• Maintain professional, courteous interactions with customers as needed.
• Perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Pay: $31.80/hour (subject to probationary rates)

Schedule: Monday-Friday (5am start time)
