Job summary

Sysco is hiring a Class 1 Delivery Driver in Truro, Nova Scotia. You will drive a tractor trailer to deliver and unload products to Sysco customers, providing excellent customer service and following MOT regulations.

This role requires lifting up to 45 kg, operating the STS delivery system, and completing pre-trip and post-trip checks to maintain safety and accuracy. Overtime and weekend shifts may be required to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Class 1 Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• 1 year commercial driving experience.
• Able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Must pass pre-employment testing (Background Check, Physical Abilities Test).

Responsibilities

• Deliver product within assigned route schedule and time windows.
• Immediately inform management team of any deviations.
• Unload product from trailer and place in designated customer storage areas.
• Operate Sysco Transportation System (STS) to scan items and generate invoices.
• Verify delivery with customer and obtain signatures.
