Job summary

New Way Trucking is seeking Experienced Class 1 Owner Operators to join our multi-provincial transportation team serving Canada and the United States. The role requires operating Class 1 tractor-trailer combinations, maintaining logs, and coordinating with dispatch and safety teams from our Surrey, BC area.

We value experienced drivers with a clean record (no more than 2 demerits), willingness to handle dispatch requests, and familiarity with Reefer/Dry Van trailers.

Qualifications

• Class 1 license required.
• Minimum 1 year driving experience.
• Familiarity with Reefer/Dry Van trailers/Trailer types is an asset.

We are currently in need of Experienced Class 1Owner Operators

You should be able to:

• Operate Class 1 tractor trailer combination
• Communicate effectively with customers, dispatch, managers and safety
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date log books.
• Perform Inspections and safety checks.

Key Requirements:

• Class 1 or equivalent driver’s license
• Driver abstract must be in good standing with no more than 2 demerits
• Minimum 1 year driving experience
• Mountain driving experience will be considered an asset but not required
• Be accommodating to dispatch requests
• Familiarity with Reefer/Dry Van Trailers
• Truck must be no older than 7 years
• Truck must successfully pass our Shop inspection.
