Job summary

Edge Transportation Services Ltd. offers an owner-operator opportunity under its PowerLease program, allowing drivers to own their own truck while leveraging Edge’s freight network across North America.

Candidates must hold a Class 1A license with at least two years of highway experience, plus one year on flat/step deck work. A clean record and pre-employment drug screen are required.

Qualifications

• A valid Class 1A Driver’s License and highway driving experience required (2+ years).
• 1 year flat/step deck experience preferred.
• Clean driving record with no suspensions and ability to pass criminal record check & pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Operate as an owner-operator in a coast-to-coast dispatch environment.
• Maintain safe driving practices and comply with regulations.
• Load/unload and ensure cargo securement as required.

Edge Transportation Services Ltd. specializes in flat deck, heavy haul & over-dimensional freight service throughout North America. From full truckload to less-than-truckload needs, experienced operators ensure secure and efficient transport.
In addition, we offer Drayage service which refers to a specialty logistics service that carries freight containers over a short distance, an essential part of intermodal shipping.

We take containers in and out of warehouses, rail terminals, ocean ports and harbors. This often involves taking huge steal shipping containers off rail cars and ship decks and then loading them onto truck trailers. From there, the container is transported to a warehouse or storage facility to get ready for the next step in the intermodal shipping process.

Edge Transportation is growing and we're helping qualified drivers become Owner Operators through our PowerLease Program.

What You Bring:

• A positive CAN-DO attitude
