Job Description

This is a combination of an early morning dock person and a Class 1 delivery driver, starting time of 4 AM or 6 AM, depending on freight volumes, for an average of 9 hours a day. Sunday to Thursday. Flexibility required.

The first few hours are spent on the dock stripping inbound trailers, using a handheld device to track and note damages and shortages, and securely loading local delivery trailers and 5-ton trucks. Cubing and reweighing freight, starting heaters, and placarding trailers as required.

Pre-trip and post-trip of the truck, delivery and pick-up freight as required.

Qualifications
  • Class 1 license with 1 year of experience
  • 1 year of dock and forklift experience
  • Physically fit, able to repetitively lift 50 lbs
  • Must be punctual and have a good attendance record
  • TDG, WHMIS experience are assets
  • Must be able to provide a criminal record check, driver's abstract, and 2 work-related references.
