We are looking for an experienced and qualified Class 1 driver who is safety‑focused and knowledgeable in the National Safety Code regulations for Commercial Motor Vehicles. The candidate must have time‑management abilities, practice due diligence, and have a sense of accountability due to day‑to‑day working environment involving minimal direct supervision.

This is a pay per load position.

Responsibilities
  • Safely transport live animals (e.g., poultry or cattle) from farms to designated facilities. (Northern Alberta Facilities)
  • Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of the vehicle and trailer.
  • Ensure humane handling of livestock.
  • Monitor animal welfare during transit and respond to emergencies if needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and biosecurity standards of transport equipment.
  • Complete and submit accurate transport logs and delivery documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with farm staff, dispatch, and facility personnel.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years issued Class 1 license with air brake (Q) endorsement
  • Clean Commercial Driver’s Abstract printed within 30 days
  • Resume with minimum of 3 years working experience with references*
  • Provincial/Federal Daily Driver’s Log experience
  • Maintenance/Heavy Duty repair experience is an asset
  • Experience with transporting livestock is an asset
  • Positive attitude and work ethic
  • No border crossing trips required

$90,000 - $100,000 a year
