Job Description
  • Operate a commercial vehicle to pick up and deliver goods to customers in Melfort and surrounding areas
  • Provide excellent customer service to a well-established customer base
  • Perform thorough pre-trip, post-trip, and en-route vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance
  • Accurately complete and maintain electronic logs using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD)
  • Adhere to all applicable transportation regulations, including hours of service rules
  • Properly secure and handle various types of cargo according to load securement guidelines
  • Follow all Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) protocols when applicable
  • Plan efficient routes and manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules
  • Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, ensuring it is in good working condition
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members
  • Complete all required paperwork and documentation accurately and in a timely manner
  • Report any incidents, accidents, or vehicle maintenance issues promptly
  • Participate in ongoing safety training and company meetings as required
  • Represent the company professionally through appearance, behavior, and adherence to company policies
Qualifications
