Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a recent civil/structural graduate to join the Hydro Power & Dams Structures team, contributing to design, analysis and rehabilitation of dam, hydraulic, building and bridge projects in hydroelectricity.

You will perform engineering work in compliance with QA programs, participate in detailed design with steel, reinforced concrete, or masonry, conduct seismic analysis, and prepare calculations, drawings, and reports while mentoring Designers/Drafters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• 0 to 2 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in engineering software programs such as SAP2000 and Mathcad
• Familiarity with National Building Code, CSA standards, and relevant industrial regulations.
• Capable of resolving engineering issues and technical problems using fundamental technical knowledge.
• Strong communication and technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering work in compliance with AtkinsRéalis QA programs, codes, standards, and regulations.
• Participate in detailed design of structural systems involving steel, reinforced concrete, or masonry elements.
• Conduct structural and seismic analysis, encompassing both static and dynamic analysis, and generating analysis reports.

• Create various technical documents, such as engineering drawings, change paper markups, calculations, reports, design requirements, bill of materials, and technical specifications.
• Provide technical guidance and instruction to Designers/Drafters.
• Conduct field walkdowns during different design phases as necessary and assisting with field construction and execution activities, including field changes and design revisions.

Overview

AtkinsRéalis is looking for a recent civil/ structural new graduateto join a dedicated team ofengineersworking onhydroelectric projects. Your role within the team
