Job summary

Fontaine Site Services Inc. is seeking an experienced Loader Operator to join our civil construction team in British Columbia. You will operate wheel loaders around excavators, trucks, and crews to move materials and support ongoing construction activity.

We value safety, reliability, and efficiency, with a requirement for 5+ years loader experience and the ability to work full-time outdoors in varying weather. CAT/John Deere/Volvo loaders are a typical asset for our projects.

Qualifications

• Experience operating loaders on civil construction sites.
• Ability to work around excavations, utilities, and other equipment.
• Strong safety awareness and reliable full-time availability.

Responsibilities

• Operate wheel loaders safely and efficiently on civil construction projects.
• Load dump trucks and move aggregates, native material, topsoil, and other materials.
• Feed excavators and pipe crews with bedding, backfill, and road-base materials.
• Perform backfilling, rough grading, stockpiling, and site cleanup.
• Maintain haul roads and work areas.
• Work safely around underground utilities, excavations, workers, and other equipment.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
• Identify and report equipment issues before they become major problems.
• Follow direction from foremen and superintendents while also being able to work independently.
