Job summary

Torus Talent partners with a Vancouver-based client seeking an intermediate civil designer, technologist, or Engineer-in-Training who enjoys construction planning and applying technology to everyday tasks.

The role blends civil drawings and 3D modelling with opportunities to spearhead AI adoption and other improvements across the business, while collaborating with project teams to deliver plan-driven outcomes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in civil design/construction engineering or related field.
• Civil engineering degree or related tech education; Engineers-in-Training encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Prepare civil concepts, construction layouts, and planning drawings.
• Develop 3D models to illustrate construction methods and sequencing (incl. bridge erection).
• Help identify AI, software, and workflow improvements to increase effectiveness.
• Lead technology initiatives from testing through implementation and adoption.
• Serve as the firm’s contact for innovation and new ideas for planning and delivery.
• Coordinate office technology needs with external IT provider.
