Job summary

Seymour Pacific Developments is seeking a Civil Contracts Coordinator to support the execution, procurement, preparation, and administration of civil, survey, piling, retaining, abatement, and demolition contracts. The role emphasizes coordinating with subcontractors, field teams, and Accounts Payable to ensure compliant, timely project delivery.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration or Construction Management.
  • Minimum 2 years coordination experience.
  • Minimum one year of demonstrated experience in civil construction.
  • Proficient in Viewpoint, Vista, Bluebeam Revu, Adobe Acrobat, Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Teams.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management.
  • Proactive in identifying and addressing risks, conflicts, and disputes.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain insurance, WCB, and pertinent documents from awarded subcontractors.
  • Draft and administer subcontracts.
  • Manage progress draws and payment documentation.
  • Apply civil construction technical knowledge to support project execution.
  • Reconcile and process monthly claims, liaising with field personnel, preparing and certifying claims.
  • Coordinate change orders by gathering facts, preparing authorizations, and liaising with Accounts Payable.
  • Confirm eligibility for holdback releases, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.
  • Assist the Contracts Manager with contract and project close-out, coordinating with the finance department to ensure accurate billing and contractual revenue collection.
  • Other related duties as required.

Do you like to plan, organize, and participate in contract administration activities? Being a team member in the solicitation of bids, development, and management of contracts in Civil Construction.

The Civil Contracts Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Civil Contracts Manager with the execution, procurement, preparation, and administration of various levels of civil, survey, piling, retaining, abatement, and demolition contracts.

Your contributions to the team include:
  • Obtain insurance, WCB, and pertinent documents from awarded subcontractors.
  • Draft and administer subcontracts.
  • Manage progress draws and payment documentation.
  • Apply civil construction technical knowledge to support project execution.
