Job description

Thompson Construction Group is looking for an experienced Civil Construction Foreman to support our earthworks projects in the Fort McMurray region. Reporting to the Site Superintendent, this role provides day-to-day leadership for crews, helps plan and organize work, and ensures safety, quality, and productivity on site.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Site Superintendent with planning daily work and organizing crews
  • Coordinate equipment and workforce needs across the project
  • Communicate daily tasks and expectations clearly to crew members
  • Promote and enforce company and client safety policies and procedures
  • Monitor work progress, provide direction, and ensure quality standards are met
  • Participate in site meetings and daily work discussions
  • Complete daily reporting and required documentation
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in heavy civil earthworks and/or mining
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • CSO, BSO or OSSA certification
  • Leadership for Safety Excellence (LSE) certification
  • Willingness to work a rotational schedule in Fort McMurray and stay in camp accommodations
  • Ability to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing
