Salary: $113,880 to $133,570 (currently under revision)

Minimum Flight Time (choose one)
  • 2,500 hours flight time, 1,000 hours as pilot‑in‑command, 500 hours in multi‑engine aeroplanes.
  • 2,500 hours flight time, 1,000 hours as pilot‑in‑command, 500 hours in medium or heavy category helicopters.
  • 3,000 hours flight time, 1,500 hours as pilot‑in‑command, 500 hours in multi‑engine aeroplanes.
  • 3,000 hours flight time, 1,500 hours as pilot‑in‑command, 500 hours in multi‑engine helicopters.
  • 3,000 hours flight time, 1,500 hours as pilot‑in‑command, 500 hours in single‑engine turbine‑powered aeroplanes.
  • 3,000 hours flight time, 1,500 hours as pilot‑in‑command, 500 hours in multi‑engine turbo‑jet transport aeroplanes of max certified take‑off gross weight ≥ 50,000 lbs.
Experience

Minimum 3 years of experience acquired within the last 6 years as a pilot with a Canadian Air Operator, Private Operator (CAR 604), Flight Training Unit or in the Canadian Military.

Additional Qualifications (other than the above)
  • Canadian Class 1 Flight Instructor Rating – Aeroplane or Canadian Forces Instructor Category – Aeroplane.
  • Canadian Class 1 Flight Instructor Rating – Helicopter or Canadian Forces Instructor Category – Helicopter.
  • Previous possession of DH8, EMB 170/190, CRJ, Boeing 737/757/767/777/787, Airbus A220/A310/A320/A330/340.
  • Airline Transport Pilot Licence – Helicopter (ATPL‑H).
Experience (specific roles)

Operational Requirements

Willing and able to travel to local, national and international destinations.

Willing and able to travel via all modes of transportation to remote and/or isolated locations.

Willing and able to work in an aviation environment (noise, fumes, hazards).

Willing and able to work overtime, irregular hours and weekends.

Knowledge

Canadian Civil Aviation legislation: Aeronautics Act, CAR, associated standards and guidance; risk management techniques and SMS.
