As a faith- and values-based organization, we hire and serve people of all backgrounds and walks of life - there is a place for everyone to belong here.**Mission Statement** The Salvation Army exists to share the love of Jesus Christ, meet human needs and be a transforming influence in the communities of our world.**Job Description:****Position Purpose summary:** The Salvation Army Christmas Kettle Campaign is part of a century old tradition to contribute towards building strong communities by helping TSA to give hope to others. **Hours of Work** * 20 hrs/wk.* Tuesday to Saturday **Accountabilities:** **Incumbent may perform all, some, or similar range of duties as below.** • Remain at the Kettle for the full shift (until relieved), ensuring security of donations received and security and proper use of Tip Tap equipment. * Respond to questions/queries from potential donors regarding SA ministries and programs.* Present a positive image (well-groomed/dressed) and represent TSA well while on duty.* Work with minimal supervision.* Must comply with all Salvation Army policies, procedures, and associated legislation.* Treat the property of The Salvation Army with due care and caution.* Perform other job-related duties as assigned. **FINANCIAL AND MATERIALS MANAGEMENT:** **•** Collect cash and cheque donations into kettle and Tip Tap donations, ensuring all are done securely. **Working Conditions:** * **This is a temporary part time position based on no standard weekly hours of work; there will be up to 20 hours per week of work.*** Must be willing and able to work shifts that may include days, afternoons, evenings, weekend shifts, and split shifts, Monday through Saturday.
