Job summary

The Salvation Army in Canada is seeking a temporary Christmas Admin Support to help manage donations of toys and food, assist with distribution, and support the Kettle campaign. The role requires a High School diploma and a minimum of one year in community-based programs, with strong Microsoft Office and communication skills.

This is a temporary position with flexible shifts. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and be able to lift up to 20 lbs while representing the organization

Responsibilities

• Assist with processing, unloading, documenting, and sorting donations of toys and food for the Christmas program and assist with preparing donated items for distribution.
• Assist with pick-ups of food and toy donations from community donors using program vehicle.
• Assist with set up and take down of toy and food Christmas hamper distribution centre.
• Record statistical data in a clear, organized, and accurate manner.
• May assist in the Kettle campaign where needed.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Applicable shifts include a ½ hour unpaid meal break.Flexibility in scheduling is required, as the hours may increase as per operational requirements.Required to wear appropriate Salvation Army identification.Ability to lift/move up to 20 lbs.
