Job summary

University Health Network's Altum Health Brampton site is seeking a Chiropractor or Physiotherapist for a 12-month temporary full-time role. You will manage complex orthopedic cases and help clients regain work capability with hands-on rehabilitation.

Join a multidisciplinary team, apply evidence-based practice, and contribute to cross-site duties and insurance reporting. Licensing in Ontario is required; concussion experience is an asset.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Chiropractic Degree and registration with the College of Chiropractors of Ontario.
• Minimum one year experience with work-related injuries/third-party health care experience; strong FAE and Return to Work skills.
• Physiotherapist path requires registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.

Responsibilities

• Treat clients and enable return-to-work in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Perform MSK assessment and treatment and manage concussion care when applicable.
• Contribute to cross-site duties and cross-functional team activities.
• Provide education and support to patients and document insurance related information.

We are currently seeking a Chiropractor or Physiotherapist to join our Brampton team! The successful candidate should expect complex and challenging cases. As an Altum Clinician you will empower and support clients through their recovery with the application of your hand-on knowledge, skills and abilities in the treatment of orthopedic disorders, chronic pain and with the rehabilitation and return to work of injured workers. Interest or previous experience in hand therapy would be an asset. You will treat clients and enable them to reach their fully functional and work reintegration potential in collaboration with all stakeholders (client, treatment team and etc.).You will also perform cross-functional duties and cross-site duties, as assigned or requested.

• Strong skills in musculoskeletal (MSK) assessment and treatment.
• Concussion assessment and management experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

What we look for in a Chiropractor

• Completion of a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree
• Registration with the College of Chiropractors of Ontario required
• A minimum of one-year related experience in the treatment of clients with work-related injuries, MVA and/or experience in the third-party health care system, with strong FAE and Return to Work planning skills (desired but not essential)
• A strong evidenced based, rehabilitation orientation required
• Experience with concussion treatment is an asset

What We Look For In a Physiotherapist

• A Physiotherapist registered with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
• A minimum of (1) one year related experience in the treatment of clients/patients with work-related injuries, MVA and/or experience in the third-party health care system, with strong FAE and Return to Work planning skills is preferred but not required to be successful
• Experience with concussion treatment is an asset

What We Look For In An Altum Clinician

• A Clinician who can adhere to confidentiality requirements, can demonstrate initiative, and with excellent judgement and prioritizing skills
• A Clinician who understands the detail required for insurance reporting and who is not deterred by mandatory processes; experience in case management and communication with third-party/referral services desirable
• A passionate and dedicated team player who can work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team and who is committed to the challenge of working with clients suffering from acute and chronic workplace injuries
• Excellent interpersonal, time management and organizational skills
• Ability to provide group education sessions and lead small group learning
• WorkWell certification preferred but not essential
• Experience with report writing is an asset
