Job summary

Whale Family Chiropractic in Port Hope is seeking a part-time Chiropractic Healing Assistant to join our team. The role supports patients, staff, and doctors across shifts, with an on-call component for coverage during holidays and sick days.

To start, expect 10–15 hours weekly, increasing to 25–30 hours in December 2026 due to maternity leave. Candidates should be friendly, empathetic, and comfortable with basic transactions and CRM tools.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience; welcoming/ fun attitude, socially dynamic
• Strong, professional telephone and written communication skills - managing office phone, cell phone, email
• Able to multitask without sacrificing accuracy; detail-oriented and service-driven
• Proficient computer and administrative skills, including Google Drive and CRM or Patient Management systems
• Comfortable with handling cash and credit/ debit payments, understands basic transactions and is familiar with POS machines
• Capable of managing patient flow, active waiting room and respecting confidential patient data
• Willingness to get to know patient’s, being empathetic to their journey, building trust and comfortable sharing your own healing journey
• Able to deal with any situations as they arise, staying relaxed and composed
• Getting to know the supplements that we sell
• The desire to actively participate in making a difference in the lives of others!

Responsibilities

Whale Family Chiropractic is adding to our team by hiring another Chiropractic Healing Assistant, for our Port Hope office.

This is a Part-time position (10-15 hours per week to start) with availability to be on-call for other team members sick days, holidays, etc.

Hours will increase to approx 25-30 hours per week in December 2026 when a current team member will begin maternity leave (planned return date is September 2027).

We are looking for a team member that is on their own chiropractic journey or interested in learning about chiropractic principles, and is able to support patients, team members and the doctors during every shift.

Starting wage: $19.50/hour + 4% vacation pay
