A local public library in Oakville is seeking a Children’s Programmer to create and implement engaging programs for children. You will work across various locations and virtually, encouraging early literacy and providing quality services to children and families. Ideal candidates will have a background in early childhood education and a passion for working with youth. This role is temporary full-time until December 2026.
Employment Status: Temporary full-time to December 13, 2026 (CUPE 5348)
Location: System wide. Must travel between different locations throughout Oakville.
Hours: 35 hours per week with ability to work all shifts (days, evenings, and weekends)

Oakville Public Library has seven library branches that are dedicated to serving the diverse community of Oakville. The Children’s Programmer supports Oakville Public Library’s mission to bring together people, information and ideas to build healthy communities. In this role, you’ll plan and implement creative in-person and virtual children’s programs and provide services that will connect children and their family with resources, ideas and experiences that will inform and inspire.
