Job summary

The YMCA of Saskatoon is seeking a strong childcare leader to provide day-to-day leadership and oversight of our licensed Martensville childcare centre. Reporting to the Childcare Director, you will lead centre operations, coach staff, maintain licensing and safety standards, and ensure high-quality, inclusive, developmentally appropriate care for children.

Qualifications

• ECE Level III Certification (Level II may be considered if in progress).
• Minimum three years of progressive experience in licensed childcare with supervisory duties.
• Solid knowledge of Saskatchewan childcare legislation and licensing requirements.
• Familiarity with YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum.
• First Aid & CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation.
• Clear Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and people-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership for the Martensville centre.
• Oversee operations to ensure safe, inclusive, engaging environment.
• Coach educators to deliver high-quality programming.
• Support enrollment, staffing, and occupancy planning.
• Maintain licensing compliance and safety standards.
• Foster strong relationships with families and community.
• Manage documentation and reporting.
• Lead staff meetings and professional development planning.
