Job summary
An Indigenous-focused organization in Winnipeg is seeking a CCA/Cook to support child health and wellness by preparing nutritious meals. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation in a childcare setting and a strong passion for child nutrition. This full-time, permanent role offers a unique opportunity to engage with Indigenous foods and culture. Preference is given to Indigenous candidates.
Qualifications
- Willing to acquire a Food Handler’s Certificate.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- At least one year of experience preparing meals in a childcare or similar setting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack.
- Plan and follow a 3–4-week rotating menu based on the Canada Food Guide.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
