Job summary

Next Youth Job is hiring a Child Caregiver for a private home in Fort McMurray, AB. The position is permanent, full-time and on-site, with an hourly wage of 20.00 CAD and 40–44 hours per week.

Starts as soon as possible, with security checks required and a live-in accommodation option available at no charge. The caregiver will look after infants and children, maintain a safe home, prepare meals, assist with homework, and take children to school and appointments.

Qualifications

• On site: Work must be completed at the physical location.
• Experience: Experience an asset.
• Criminal record check and vulnerable sector check required.

Responsibilities

• Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents
• Bathe, dress and feed infants and children
• Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
• Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
• Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
• Organize activities such as games and outings for children
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals
• Prepare infants and children for rest periods
• Supervise and care for children
• Take children to and from school and to appointments
• Tend to emotional well-being of children
• Help children with homework

Salary: 20.00 hourly / 40 to 44 hours per week
