Job description

About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and located at the Langley AFB Youth Program.

The position may require the incumbent to transport children in a government vehicle; therefore, a valid state driver's license must be obtained and maintained. A good driving record may be required as a condition of employment.

Pay will be set based on experience and education and/or certification:

Target Level: $20.80

Intermediate Level: $19.62

Entry Level: $18.51

Requirements
  • This position requires satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks in accordance with Air Force and DoD policy, and a Child Care Tier 1 background investigation.
  • This position has been identified as a Test Designated Position (TDP). The incumbent of this position will be subject to and must consent to a pre-employment and random drug testing.
  • This position has physical lifting requirements, which require the incumbent to complete a favorable pre-employment physical.
  • This position requires the incumbent to be able to obtain, maintain, and provide evidence of current immunizations, including annual influenza vaccinations, and be free of all communicable diseases.
  • This position requires the incumbent to complete assigned training, to include Food Handlers certification, within a specified time from the date of hire or assignment to the position.
  • This position requires the incumbent to provide a copy of their HS diploma/equivalent.
  • This position requires the incumbent to be at least 18 years of age.
  • This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
  • Must provide a copy of a good driving record.
  • Must obtain a state Commercial Driver's License (CDL) permit within 60 days of appointment and complete the CDL process within 6 months of appointment. Must maintain a CDL.
