Qualifications

• One year of recent related experience in an acute psychiatric setting.
• Specialty training in child and/or adolescent psychiatry.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care of assigned patients.
• Participate in quality improvement activities.
• Communicate with health care team members about patient care.

Skills

Ability to complete initial and ongoing mental health assessments

Knowledge of mental illness and treatment

Counseling and group facilitation skills

Ability to communicate effectively

Ability to work effectively with adolescents

Education

Graduation from an approved School of Nursing

Current registration with the BCCNM
