As a Certified B Corporation, we harness business for good. Since 1983 we’ve grown steadily, now delivering support across Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario through more than 90 contracts.
Our 700-plus employee-owners live by five shared values: we are stronger together, we lead with optimism, we embrace challenges, we respect every voice, and we go above and beyond. We are a growing organization with over $60 million in annual revenue and consistent year-over-year growth of 5–10%.
You will lead the development and execution of our financial strategy, ensuring fiscal integrity and long-term sustainability for the organization. Serving as the organization’s lead financial voice, you will clearly interpret and present financial performance, risks, and opportunities to the CEO, Board, and program leaders to enable confident, informed decision-making at every level.
The Controller reports directly to you, and you will help coach and develop the Finance team, fostering a culture of service excellence, accountability, and collaboration. Your work will include driving budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and the stewardship of organizational assets. In addition, you will enhance systems and processes by identifying efficiencies, optimizing costs, and elevating overall organizational performance.
As the ideal candidate you will bring strong financial acumen and proven experience managing complex, multi-faceted finance functions, ideally within the social services, healthcare, or non-profit sectors. You will communicate complex financial information clearly, turning data into actionable insights for program leaders, senior management, and the Board.
You will serve as the chief financial spokesperson to our 750 employee-owners, clearly communicating the organization’s financial position and guiding understanding of key strategic trade-offs among reinvestment, property acquisition, and employee dividends.
You will demonstrate expertise in financial planning and analysis, risk management, and process optimization. As a values-driven leader with high emotional intelligence, you will champion equity, inclusion, and person-centred service delivery. You will combine a strategic mindset with operational depth, driving the modernization of the finance function while maintaining stability and service quality to support the organization’s long‑term success.
