Job summary

A local design and staging company in Toronto is seeking a Manager to oversee operations, establish company objectives, and manage resources. The ideal candidate will have strong managerial skills, experience in customer service, and a background in interior design or staging. This is a full-time permanent position offering CA $64.10 per hour for 30 hours a week.

Responsibilities
  • Establish objectives for the company and formulate or approve policies and programs.
  • Manage and oversee the daily operation of the company.
  • Authorize and organize the establishment of departments and staff positions.
  • Allocate material, human, and financial resources to develop and operate the business.
  • Oversee and approve the work of different departments.
  • Represent the company in negotiations or other official functions.
  • Solicit and meet potential clients on behalf of the company.
  • Provide consultancy services to real estate investors and real estate agents.
  • Develop décor and staging plans with cost estimates.
  • Manage budget and time schedule.
  • Administrative and inventory management.

Wage: CA $64.10 per hour for 30 hours per week

Qualifications
  • Majority owner of the company.
  • Strong managerial skills including people management skills.
  • Interior decor or staging education and training.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Strong project, budget, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Portfolio of decorating and staging work is an advantage.
  • Able to work independently and to work under pressure.
  • Able to solve customer issues tactfully and effectively.
  • Staging certification or interior design diploma is preferred.
  • The person should have in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Good knowledge of project management.
  • Strong business development experience.
  • Strong presentation, communication and leadership skills.
Education and experience

Required education: A university degree or college diploma in business administration, finance or another discipline that is related to the industry is preferred but not required

Required work experience: 3-5 years of managerial experience and/or work experience in the industry.
