Job summary

Element Edmonton is seeking a Chemistry Technician for testing, sample preparation and report generation. You will handle water, soil, ores and minerals analyses, operate standard laboratory equipment, and collect samples from client sites as needed.

The role is seasonal and ends December 31, 2026, with expectations to maintain quality and safety standards across the lab and at customer locations.

Qualifications

• Educational background in Chemistry or other sciences.
• Ability to work in teams and handle pressure; flexible shifts if required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze water, chemical and microbiological parameters; analyze ores and minerals.
• Prepare reagents, standard solutions and ensure standardisation of solutions used in the laboratory.
• Operate lab equipment (pH/EC/TDS meters, UV-Vis, ovens, furnaces, incubators).
• Issue test reports and manage sample collection/delivery to clients or sites.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 17025 and coordinate with technicians to follow schedules.
