Job summary

Cameco is seeking a Chemical Operator UF6 to join its production team, running a continental shift and ensuring safe, efficient operation of the UF6 plant.

You will monitor production processes, adjust equipment and controls, and troubleshoot issues while maintaining strict adherence to operating procedures and housekeeping standards. Candidates must pass a background check and meet safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary diploma in chemical or power engineering technology or a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in a continuous processing environment.
• Mechanically inclined (assessments will be conducted)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proven critical thinking ability
• Clear background check

Responsibilities

• Operate UF6 chemical plant safely and efficiently on a continental shift.

Position and Responsibilities

As a key member of Cameco’s production team, chemical operators are responsible for the safe operation of the UF6 chemical plant. Working a continental shift, you will monitor areas of the UF6 production process, control process start-up and shut down, troubleshoot process/equipment issues and maintain facility housekeeping standards. You will adjust equipment, valves, pumps and controls to ensure production commitments are achieved safe, efficient and in compliance with operating procedures.

Education and Qualifications
