Job summary

Norda Stelo in Canada is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineering Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary projects in pumping, compressed air, material handling, and underground construction. You will supervise technical work, perform calculations, and provide field support to operations and maintenance teams.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and 2–5 years of relevant experience; explosives permit and FMTM modules are assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Between 2 and 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Valid general explosives permit and completed FMTM modules.
• Knowledge of equipment and systems (pumps, compressors, piping, concrete, etc.): an asset.
• Proficiency in software such as Inventor, AutoCAD, Deswik, and SAP Maintenance: an asset.
• ASP Construction card: an asset.

Responsibilities

• Manage mechanical engineering projects in collaboration with various departments.
• Work on systems such as pumping, compressed air, material handling, and underground construction projects.
• Perform technical calculations and field surveys.
• Provide ongoing technical support to operations and maintenance teams.
• Design, review, and update maintenance and engineering procedures.
• Ensure technical supervision of contractors (F/M) on worksites.
• Contribute to the preparation of the budget and long-term plan (LOM).
• Ensure the quality, compliance, and availability of drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Participate in problem-solving in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, standards, and procedures.
• Perform all other related duties.
