Job summary

Our client in Longueuil, Québec, is seeking a Mechanical/Software Engineer to develop Python code to read inspection-requirement files (XML, YAML, CSV, TXT) and automate the conversion of engineering requirements into standardized metrology objects.

You will work with GOM and PolyWorks, export results to Excel dashboards, and support 3D-scanning inspection processes in an aerospace setting; French language skills and on-site work in Longueuil are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Software Engineering or related field.
• Advanced Python with Pandas, venv, and pip.
• Familiarity with GD&T and engineering drawings.

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, Automated Production Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Advanced Python knowledge, including Pandas, venv, and pip.
• Basic knowledge of Git and GitHub.
• Familiarity with mechanical design, engineering drawings, and GD&T.
• Knowledge of linear algebra, 3D geometry, point-cloud/STL file management, and metrology software such as GOM or PolyWorks is a strong asset.
• French-language capability and the ability to work on-site in Longueuil, Québec.
