Job summary

Walmart Canada in Barrie, Ontario is hiring a Customer Service Associate to greet customers, process purchases, and promote store services. This on-site role focuses on friendly service, accurate cash handling, and helping customers with self-checkout.

You will assist with bagging, ensure safe practices, and refer complex issues to supervisors. The position starts at a minimum hourly rate of 17.75 CAD, with opportunities to learn and grow within a team that values loyalty and a positive shopping

• Age – 16 or older

Responsibilities

• Greets all customers in a polite and friendly manner.
• Processes all purchase transactions in a timely and efficient manner, including deactivation of merchandise with respect to the EAS Program.
• Promotes company sponsor programs, ie. Credit card service, product protection and charity initiatives.
• Assists customers with bagging and loading of merchandise.
• Ensures safe work practices are followed including proper lifting and keeping a clean work area.
• Maintains register security and integrity through diligent cash handling, adherence to relevant company policies and awareness of surroundings.
• Refers appropriate service and transactional items to a Customer Service Manager or Front End Team Lead.
• Educating and supporting customers on the correct and efficient use of self-checkout options.
