Charter Specialist / Scheduler

SOUTHLAND is currently seeking a charter administration support professional to join our team in Calgary. This role is responsible for addressing the needs of charter customers and delivering exceptional customer service.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Answer phone calls, return messages, and handle inquiries
  • Respond to emails and requests in a timely manner
  • Assist charter drivers with questions regarding pick-up and drop-off locations
  • Prepare charter waybills promptly for clients
  • Attend regular charter meetings
  • Be available for rotational on-call - weeknights, weekends, and holidays
Knowledge and Skills Required
  • Knowledge of Highway Traffic Acts and Regulations
  • Multitasking and ability to handle high-volume of workloads
  • Map reading ability with knowledge of the city, specifically road systems and attractions in the Calgary area
  • Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and professional conduct within a high-volume environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and internal partners
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position working Monday through Friday from 8 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm. Availability for rotational on-call is required including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
