Sony Imageworks Vancouver is seeking Character FX TDs!
Creates set‑ups, models and animates assigned character external features such as hair, fur and cloth to meet art direction. Accountable for meeting productivity and quota targets. Able to create character simulations for multiple types of character features and may have in-depth skills in one area (e.g., hair or cloth). Participates in writing utility scripts and software code that streamlines the simulation development process. Candidate is accountable for meeting schedules and show deadlines, participates in dailies, rounds and team reviews of work in progress. Interacts with production, supervisors and peers to problem‑solve and share information related to show/assigned tasks. Must be able to decipher and follow through on shot turnovers, dailies, briefings/notes and feedback. Successful candidates should be able to work efficiently as part of a team or independently to determine the various design solutions.
The anticipated base salary for an Associate position is $26.44 to $36.32/hr and for an Intermediate position is $37.50 to $53.80/hr. Benefits per company policy include healthcare, tuition reimbursement, RRSP, sick and vacation leave, standard increases as applicable. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including qualifications, years of experience, education, certifications and location.
