Channel Sales Engineer Responsibilities

Channel Sales Engineers are responsible for satisfying the needs of new and existing customers and partners in an effort to maximize their experience with SOTI products. This includes providing technical support, revenue generation in add‑on sales and professional service training and following up on presales cases as needed. This position demands a high level of customer and partner service through all interactions as a SOTI representative.

What You Will Do
  • Drive revenue growth through consultative selling, presenting a professional, approachable, and solution‑oriented persona as a trusted representative of SOTI.
  • Deliver email and phone‑based pre‑sales technical support for SOTI’s software solutions.
  • Conduct product demonstrations that clearly articulate the business and technical value of SOTI solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with the regional sales team, engaging clients and stakeholders to help them envision the possibilities of enterprise mobility.
  • Educate customers on SOTI solutions and demonstrate how they address key business and technical challenges, positioning clear business value to decision-makers and partners.
  • Present solution architecture, covering all technical aspects of the product and supporting systems.
  • Provide hands‑on pre‑sales technical support, including installation and configuration of enterprise software during Proof of Concept (POC) engagements.
  • Partner with internal product development teams to resolve technical issues and share insights for future product enhancements.
  • Contribute to internal projects and initiatives that support team growth and operational excellence.
Experience You Will Bring
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English and Czech/Slovak (both written and verbal)
  • Professional Background: 3–5 years of experience in mobile device management (MDM) solutions and enterprise mobility (Android, iOS, Linux, Windows), BYOD, and SaaS environments.
  • Customer‑Facing Expertise: Proven experience in technical roles with direct customer interaction – ideally in Pre‑Sales or as a Sales Engineer.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to simplify and clearly explain complex technical concepts.
  • Technical Knowledge:
  • Networking fundamentals (DNS, IP networking, Firewalls).
  • Identity and Access Management (IAM), Single Sign‑On (SSO), SAML, and Identity Providers (IdP).
  • Certificate authorities, certificate management and distribution, encryption standards (SHA1/2, TLS).
  • Active Directory, LDAP protocol, and identity management systems.
  • Database technologies (MS SQL Server, MySQL, MongoDB).
  • Containerization and virtualization platforms.
  • Business Acumen: Understanding of business processes and the sales cycle.
  • Work Style: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while effectively planning, prioritizing, and organizing workload to meet objectives and service standards.
Nice to Have
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate or equivalent.
  • Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) – Exchange or equivalent experience.
  • Understanding or knowledge of Cloud Computing or certification like AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate.
  • Android Enterprise Professional.
  • Any formal sales training – value selling, SPIN, Miller Heiman.
  • Understanding of Rest APIs and coding (i.e., Java Scripting, HTML, etc.)
  • Experience with customer service / Incident management software.
  • Multilingual capabilities.
