Job summary

Untold Studios is seeking a skilled CFX Artist to craft convincing effects that mesh with stylized CG and photoreal characters. You will contribute to diverse projects across advertising, long-form, and real-time content, collaborating with a cross-disciplinary team to deliver scalable CFX setups and visually cohesive results.

• VEX knowledge preferred.
• Proficient with Vellum Solver (cloth, feathers, hair).
• Knowledge of muscle systems in Houdini (H20.5 or H21) is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Create a broad range of CFX that integrates with stylized CG and photoreal characters/creatures.
• Develop scalable, team-friendly CFX setups for multiple project types.
• Collaborate with animators, lighters and TDs to ensure cohesive look and performance.

The Role

As a CFX Artist at Untold Studios, you will be responsible for creating a broad range of effects that work well with stylized CG and photorealistic characters/creatures. You have an excellent eye for detail and can work across a variety of projects spanning advertising, long-form and Real-time. You create effects that look believable and are consistent with the overall look and feel of every individual project. You are comfortable building scalable, team-friendly CFX set-ups and thrive when working as a part of a team.

What we're looking for:

• Professional experience in Houdini
• Use of VEX is preferred
• Proficient with Vellum Solver (cloth, feathers, hair)
