Job summary

A mining company located in Northwestern Ontario is seeking a Certified Heavy Duty Mechanic to ensure safe and efficient maintenance of heavy-duty mining equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance while adhering to safety regulations. The position requires a certified mechanic with at least five years of industrial experience and strong communication skills. The job schedule consists of 14 days on and 14 days off, working 12 hours per day.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years experience in an industrial setting.
• Ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 55 lbs.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy-duty mining equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance as per OEM and site schedules.
• Rebuild and overhaul engines and major components.
