Nova Scotia Health Authority seeks an Anesthesia Assistant to provide clinical and technical support in pre-operative areas, operating rooms, post-anesthesia care units, and other QEII facilities where anesthesia services are required 24/7.

The role reports to the Manager - Department of Anesthesia with an Anesthesiologist, and requires a Registered Respiratory Therapist with anesthesia certification, BLS-C (HCP) and ACLS. Strong OR experience is preferred.

Formación

• Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• Completion of an Anesthesia Assistant certification required.
• CSRT membership with CCAA designation considered an asset.
• BLS-C (HCP) and ACLS is required.

Responsabilidades

• Provide clinical and technical support in pre-operative areas, operating rooms, and post-anesthesia care units.
• Assist in management of resources for anesthesia care in QEII facilities.
• Support anesthesia services on a 24/7 basis.
