Job summary

Extendicare Inc. in Canada is hiring an Activity Aide/Programmer for a part-time role (30 hours bi-weekly) covering days and evenings.

You will assess activation needs, design and implement engaging therapeutic programs, and monitor resident participation within our long-term care settings. The ideal candidate has a post-secondary diploma or degree in recreation or related field and experience in long-term care.

Technical Competencies

Complaint Resolution, Public Relations, Long Term Care Industry, CQI Principles, Project Management Principles, Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, Facilitation Skills.

Experience

Relevant experience preferably in a long-term care setting; and adult day centers. Experience in assessing activation needs, development, implementation and evaluation of activation programs.
