Cellular Telephone Technician

Job Details:

  • Location: Westwood Mall, 7215 Goreway Dr suite 1c24 Mississauga, ON L4T 0B4
  • Work location: On site
  • Salary: $36.50 per hour (30 to 48 hours per week)
  • Terms of employment: Permanent, Full time
  • Overtime required, flexible, includes Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift
  • Starts as soon as possible
Responsibilities
  • Inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment
  • Diagnose and locate equipment faults, and adjust, replace or repair telecommunications equipment
  • Inspect operation of telecommunications equipment
  • Install, arrange, remove and maintain telephone equipment, wiring and associated hardware
  • Repair or replace defective telephone equipment
  • Test installed telephone systems to locate transmission faults
  • Analyze test results and adjust, change or repair switching system, network, associated equipment and software
  • Complete and maintain test and service reports
  • Determine nature, cause and location of trouble
  • Instruct apprentices
  • Determine work assignments
Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: Experience an asset
  • Computer and technology knowledge: telephone system, computerized testing system, telecommunication system
  • Security and safety: Basic security clearance
  • Work conditions and physical capabilities: attention to detail, ability to distinguish between colours
  • Personal suitability: client focus, flexibility, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, accurate, dependability
  • Work setting: installation, urban area, maintenance, on-site customer service, repair, service
  • Willing to relocate; relocation costs covered by employer
