Job summary

United Rentals is hiring a Class B CDL Driver to deliver equipment to customers in a safe, timely, efficient and courteous manner. You’ll be the company ambassador, interact frequently with customers, and be home every night since we’re local.

Responsibilities include dropping off and picking up equipment, operating heavy trucks, and maintaining logs with a strong emphasis on safety. Join a leader in equipment rental delivering dependable service across Canada.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL with acceptable driving record.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years DOT regulated Commercial Driving Experience.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving procedures.
• Diligent attention to safety.

Responsibilities

• Drop off and pick up equipment for customers.
• Operate heavy equipment such as semi-trucks and trailers (“rollbacks” or “dove tails”).
• Adhere to all safety requirements including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
• Maintain driver’s logs and complete pre-trip inspections.
• Suggest equipment and supplies to meet customers’ other needs.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
