Job summary

School District No. 91 (Nechako Lakes) seeks Casual Bus Drivers to support student transport in Burns Lake area, including Decker Lake, Francois Lake, Granisle and Grassy Plains. Casual position with no guaranteed hours.

Responsibilities include operating buses on routes, transporting students for trips, and performing safety inspections while maintaining open communication with students, parents, and staff.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Dogwood Certificate) completed.
• BC Class 2 Driver’s License with air brake endorsement and a clean driving record.
• First Aid Certificate and CPR training.
• WHMIS 2015 Certificate and familiarity with WorkSafeBC safety procedures.
• Defensive driving training or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 6 months of successful experience operating Class 2+ vehicles in all seasons.

• Valid BC Class 2 Driver’s License with air brake endorsement and a clean driving record
• Valid First Aid Certificate and CPR training

• Defensive driving training or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 6 months of successful experience operating Class 2 or higher vehicles in all seasons

The successful applicant must complete a Criminal Record Check through the Criminal Records Review Program (CRRP). Criminal Record Checks Checks through local RCMP detachments will not be accepted.
